Okay, I need to say something. And I don't care if I get unfollowers or hate from this, it needs to be said. When I became a part of the One Direction fandom in October of 2011, I was so happy to meet people that shared my love of the boys and their music. I looked forward to going home everyday and knowing that night that I would get to talk to girls just like me, who cared for and respected Harry, Liam, Zayn, Niall, and Louis. A few months past, and I realized the power of the Directioner family. We could get things trending world wide on Twitter every night, we had the ability to win One Direction a BRIT Award. I was proud to call myself a part of the 'deadliest of fandoms'. But things have definitely changed. I'm disgusted at the amount of hate and disrespect that I see on my dashboard now. People were flat out RUDE TO THE BOYS, which is absolutely unacceptable. Oh, and what makes people think that they have the right to say whose a fan and who isn't? Telling someone they aren't a true Directioner because they weren't there since the X Factor days is total bull shit. I learned about the boys a year after they went on the show, does that make me any less dedicated or loving of the boys? NO. Or the fact that other fans get on your case if you don't know one little inside joke. I mean really? We're all here to love and support One Direction, so why does there have to be any drama? Other fandoms are disgusted and repulsed by us, and I can't say that I blame them. I mean really. There are the normal, dedicated fans who are just proud of the boys and want to support them. And then we have the girls who act like total assholes. Getting up and fucking leaving the BTR concert after One Direction performed? Now that is just humiliating and degrading to this fan base. Imagine how Big Time Rush must have felt, to come on stage after 1D and see half the audience gone. Talk about heart breaking. And actually HARMING girls from other fandoms? Like who do some people think they are? Our family has changed. Sure you still have the normal fans, like me. The ones who are tired of the drama and just want things to go back to the way they were. But Rushers, Beliebers, all the other fangirls look at us in disgust now, because of those of us who are just acting like little bitches. They think we're wild and disrespectful and mean. They aren't wrong. Honestly, right now I am ashamed and embarrassed to call myself a Directioner. I'm here for the boys, and if that means putting up with this crap then I will deal with it. But I just needed to say this, because people need to know that not all One Direction fans are like this. Some of us still have our heads on straight. xx
